NaturalTime is a smart alarm bound to natural cycles (tides, sunrise/sunset, moon phases). We designed it to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
- No personal information — we do not ask for your name, email or phone.
- An anonymous device identifier (a random UUID) used only to link your subscription to this install.
- Coordinates you choose for an alarm (a surf spot, beach, etc.).
2. How your data is used
- Sun and Moon times are computed entirely on your device — those coordinates never leave the phone.
- Tide times require harmonic data: for High/Low Tide alarms the chosen coordinates are sent to our NaturalTime server to compute the tides. They are used only for that purpose and are never sold or shared with advertising networks.
- Location search sends only the text you type to a geocoding provider to turn it into coordinates. The map may load tiles from a map provider.
- Payments: subscriptions are processed by the app store (Google Play / Apple). The store handles your payment and card details — we never receive or store them. The store shares only a subscription identifier with our server so we can confirm your Premium entitlement, restore it on your other devices, and prevent abuse. We do not create a login or password.
3. Diagnostics
The app keeps a local technical log. It is never sent automatically. Only if you tap “Send diagnostics” and choose to include them are the log and (optionally) your saved alarms with coordinates shared, via an app you pick (e.g. email), to our support — solely to resolve your request.
4. Data retention & your rights
Your alarms live on your device. You can delete them any time; deleting the app removes local data. For support-related data you sent us, contact us to request deletion.
5. Children
NaturalTime is not directed at children under 13.
